VIDALIA — Services for Archie Delane Williams, 47, of Vidalia, who died Sunday, July 13, 2014, at his residence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Vidalia Conference and Convention Center with the Rev. Charles G. Chandler Sr. officiating.

Burial will follow in Vidalia City Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the convention center.

Mr. Williams was born May 19, 1967, in Natchez, the son of Charles E. and Bertha Broadus Williams.

Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his father; one brother, Roosevelt Mickell; grandparents, Josephine Turner Newman, Dan Broadus, Anna Profice Williams and Archie Williams Sr.; and two uncles, Lawrence Broadus and Archie Williams Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Pamela Weatherspoon Williams; his mother; three sons, Jamarcus McMorris of Fort Worth, Texas, Archie D. Williams Jr. and Donterius Weatherspoon, both of Vidalia; six daughters, Chiquita Griffin, Shimeka Griffin, Keisa Thompson and Alisha Starks, all of Natchez, Tierra Lewis and Anya Williams, both of Jena; eight brothers, Charles Ellis of Racine, Wis., Charles E. Jones, Elbert Miller, Darren Williams, all of Natchez, Earnest M. Boardus of Houston, Morrell Jones, of Roxie, Eric Burton of Ferriday, and Jerome Burton of Shreveport; three sisters, Patsy D. Broadus of Natchez, Sharon Broadus and J. Terrence Broadus, both of Vidalia; one grandson, Caleb Tenner; mother-in-law, Earline Weatherspoon, and a number of nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends.
