NATCHEZ — An Adams County man was arrested Tuesday after agents with Natchez-Adams County Metro Narcotics and the Adams County Sheriff’s Office found approximately three pounds of marijuana at his residence.
Agents reportedly found the drugs while serving a search warrant at 11 Old Smith Lane, where they also reportedly found scales, packaging material, two handguns and approximately $500 in cash, according to an ACSO news release.
The house’s resident, Tremaine Perry, was not present at the time but was located approximately two hours later. Agents seized approximately three-quarters of a pound of marijuana, $250 in cash and a handgun from Perry’s vehicle, according to the release.
Perry was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute while in possession of a firearm and three counts of possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. Perry was detained without bond Tuesday.
This is his fourth drug-related arrest since 2002.
