NATCHEZ — Services for Tillie Whitam Fuglaar, 79, of Germantown, Tenn., formerly of Natchez, who died Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at The Gardens of Germantown Assisted Living in Germantown, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Grace United Methodist Church with the Rev. Nance Hixon officiating.

Burial will follow in Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Fuglaar was born Aug. 14, 1934, in Archie, the daughter of John Anderson Edwards and Millie Rebecca Bird Edwards.

She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She was an avid reader and loved to travel.

Mrs. Fuglaar was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Clarence Clifford Whitam; her second husband, John Russell Fuglaar; two sisters, Beth Bradford and her identical twin, Tilda Young.

Survivors include her son, Clifford Shaw Whitam and wife, Judy Smallwood Whitam, of Collierville, Tenn.; one step-son, James Fuglaar and wife, Rita, of Houston; two grandsons, Joshua Troy Whitam and Michael Ryan Whitam, both of Collierville; one step-grandson, Alex Fuglaar; one step-granddaughter, Katherine Fuglaar; one sister, Katie Breithaupt of Jonesville; one brother-in-law, Dr. Kenneth Whitam and wife, Linda, of Baton Rouge.

Pallbearers will be Joshua Troy Whitam, Michael Ryan Whitam, James Bates Young, Danny Allen Young, Zachary Roger Young and Neil Phillip Whitam.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, American Heart Association or to a charity of your choice.
