FAYETTE — Services for Hazel Moffett Beesley, 82, of Fayette, who died Monday, June 16, 2014, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Community Methodist Church with the Rev. Aaron Lamb officiating.
Burial will follow Cane Ridge Cemetery in Lorman under the direction of Spencer Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 1 p.m. until service time Thursday at the church.
Mrs. Beesley was born March 3, 1932, in Jefferson County, the daughter of James A. Moffett Sr. and Alene Bryant Bowman.
She was a lifetime member of Community Methodist Church.
Mrs. Beesley was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Beesley; her parents; two brothers, Bilbo and James “Jim” Moffett; and one sister, Ruth Emfinger.
Survivors include three daughters, Barbara Hilton of Livington, Ala., Irene Mallette of San Antonio, Texas, and Polly Hill of Port Gibson; five grandchildren, Pamela Hilton, Andrea Peck, Monica Webb, Jessica Ashley and Justin Hill; eight great-grandchildren, Langdon and Mills Griffith, John Garrett Webb, Tyler Webb, Sydney Peck, Mason and Sam Ashley and Molly Hill; one brother-in-law, Benny Beesley; two sisters-in-law, Rita Beesley and Bonnie Moffett; a number of nephews and nieces; and two special friends, Pete Guido and Johnny Martin.
Pallbearers will be Marty Hilton, Jimmy Moffett, Terry Moffett, Joseph Moffett, John Moffett and Justin Hill.
Honorary pallbearers will be Clyde Hill, Jeff Roberts, Jerrod Webb, Jon Ashley, Pete Guido, Nicholas Peck, James Smith, J. P. Smith, William Smith, Archie Smith, Walter Beesley, Kenneth Lewis Beesley, W. F. Beesley and C. L. Beesley.
