FERRIDAY — Funeral services for Mary Alice Neal, 73, who died Saturday, June 7, 2014, surrounded by her loving family at her residence, will be 2 p.m. today at Comer Funeral Home in Ferriday with the Rev. Donald Ray and the Rev. Preston Holder officiating.

Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Jena under the direction of Comer Funeral Home of Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of services today at the funeral home.

Mary was born July 24, 1940, the daughter of Reuben H. and Rebecca Stone Bradford. Mary loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them, and will be missed by all that knew her. She was retired from the retail industry.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Less Bradford, Clarence Bradford, Van Bradford and Bud Bradford; and four sisters, Sis Kendrick, Joyce Norris, Flora Speed and Evie Ann Bradford.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Jesse Neal; two sons, Michael Dwayne Neal and wife, Doris Anita, of Ragley, La. and Timothy Neal of Vidalia; one daughter, Linda Helmes of Vidalia; seven grandchildren; four great- grandchildren; two sisters, Tiny Boyd of Jena and Dorothy Windham of Shreveport; and a number of nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be deacons of Ridgecrest Baptist Church.
