NATCHEZ — Services for Ruby Lee Finley McIlwain, 96, of Ferriday, formerly of Kingston, who died Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Ferriday, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Cliff Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. Mickey Alexander officiating.
Burial will follow in Jersey Settlers Cemetery in Kingston under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the church.
Mrs. McIlwain was born Nov. 14, 1917, in Forest, the daughter of James Willis Finley and Ella Lee Vaughn Finley.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Cliff Temple Baptist Church.
Mrs. McIlwain was preceded in death by her husband, John W. McIlwain; her parents; one daughter, Doris L. Dillingham; three brothers, Glen, Herman and Ray Finley; three grandchildren, Shannon Coon, William Cecil Roberts and John Eugene Roberts; and great-grandson, Hunter McIlwain.
Survivors include her son, Douglas McIlwain and wife, Carol; one son-in-law, Carroll Dillingham; five grandchildren, Ruby Andrus and husband, Glenn, Jo Ann Bean, Victoria Roberts, Donnie McIlwain and wife, Leigh, and Dusty McIlwain; six great-grandchildren, Mallory McIlwain, Shawn Coon, David Mirra, Chris Carney, Stephanie Wheeler and Ann Parker; and a number of great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Donnie McIlwain, Dusty McIlwain, Shawn Coon, David Mirra, Mike Upton and Kevin Perrin.
