NATCHEZ — Services for Freddie M. Anderson, 73, of Natchez, who died Friday, May 23, 2014, at his residence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Milford Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Eddie Alsworth officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
“Family hour” will be at 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the church. Eastern Star and MWWTM Grant Jr. Grand Lodge rites will be performed at the church from 6 to 7 p.m. today. Eastern Star rites from 6 to 6:30 p.m. today and Masonic rites from 6:30 to 7 p.m. today.
Mr. Anderson was born Jan. 8, 1941, in Adams County, the son of Issac Anderson and Daisy Brady Anderson.
Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Issac, Charlie and James Anderson.
Survivors include his wife, Georgia Mae Thompson Anderson; two sons, Freddie Anderson of Starksville and Robert Anderson of Natchez; one daughter, Earline Collins and husband, Marlo; two step children, Terry L. Thomas and wife, Shirley, and Georgia T. Battieste and husband, Quentin; one brother, Robert L. Anderson; three sisters, Marjorie A. Kinds and Doretha Mackel, both of Natchez, and Dr. Daisy Brooks and husband, Wadell Sr., of North Chicago; one godchild, Sandra K. Ellis; a special nephew, Wadell Brooks Jr.; and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces and cousins.
Pallbearers will be his masonic brothers.
