FERRIDAY — Services for Sallie Tyler Calhoun, 93, of Ferriday, who died Sunday, May 18, 2014, at Grace Home in Alexandria, will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at St. James Baptist Church on Skipper Drive in Ferriday.

Burial will follow in Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Calhoun was born Jan. 12, 1923, in Vidalia, the daughter of Leroy and Evaline Gordan Tyler.

She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Calhoun was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Please Calhoun; one daughter, Virginia Prater Calhoun; one brother, Leroy Tyler Jr.; and two sisters, Roxie Carter and Louise Calhoun.

Survivors include one son, Raymond Calhoun; one daughter, Roberta Calhoun; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
