FERRIDAY — Services for Sarah Bowman, 65, of Ferriday, who died Sunday, May 18, 2014, at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Baptist Church with the Rev. Phaion Thomas officiating.

Burial will follow in Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Ms. Bowman was born June 4, 1948, in Ferriday, the daughter of Willie Bowman Jr. and Clara Lewis.

She was a librarian for Concordia Parish School System.

She attended St. Paul Baptist Church.

Ms. Bowman was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Jerome Harris.

Survivors include one son, Marcus Kennedy and wife, Brittany, of Pineville; two brothers, James Bowman and wife, Ethel, of Ft. Washington, Md. and Melvin Woodruff and wife, Ethel, of Lawton, Okla.; one sister, Ethel Bowman; special nephew, Kenneth W. Bowman, both of Carrollton; three grandchildren, Brycen D. Kennedy, Madison M. Kennedy and Claire E. Kennedy, all of Pineville; and two aunts, Mary Scott and Martha White, both of Ferriday.
