NATCHEZ — Services for Mary Wade Irving, 96, of Natchez, who died Monday, May 19, 2014, at her residence, will be at noon Friday at St. Peter Baptist Church with the Rev. Wilsoni Johnson officiating.
Burial will follow in Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today with Eastern Star Rites being perfomed at 7 p.m. at the church.
Mrs. Irving was born May 27, 1917, in Adams County, the daughter of Manson Wade and Mary Ida Price Wade.
She was a lifelong member of St. Peters Baptist Church.
She was employed and retired from the Adams County public school system.
She was also a member of the Queen Esther Order of Eastern Star.
Mrs. Irving was preceded in death by her husband, Elijah Irving; and her parents.
Survivors include one son, Elijah Irving; one daughter, Mary Stanton and husband, Kenneth; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one brother, Manson Wade and wife, Lula Mae, all of Natchez; and a number of others she raised, nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Masonic Brothers.
