Tuesday, May 13

James Keith Nations, who was indicted by a grand jury for four counts of sexual battery and pleaded guilty to counts II and III, and per agreement the State agreed to dismiss counts I and IV, only to have sentencing delayed, has counts I and IV of the indictment entered nolle prosequi and dismissed in Judge Lillie Blackmon Sanders’ court.

Edward Lee Davis, aka Edmond Davis, pleaded guilty to possession of a weapon by a convicted felon in Judge Sanders’ court. Sentenced to five years in the Mississippi Department of Corrections. After serving one day, the defendant is placed on four years, 364 days formal post-release supervision, which shall be supervised under the supervision of MDOC. Full credit given for any time already served in the Adams County Jail. Must pay all court costs and a prosecution fee of $200 within 30 days from this day in the office of the Adams County Circuit Clerk. The defendant must also enroll into and attend a Narcotics Anonymous and/or Alcoholics Anonymous program twice per week.

Monday, May 12

Gabriel Carmen pleaded guilty to grand larceny in Judge Sanders’ court. Sentenced to five years in MDOC suspended and placed on five years probation. Must enroll into and receive mental health treatment. The defendant must also enroll into and successfully complete an inpatient alcohol and drug treatment program.

Thursday, May 8

Alfred Wilson, who was convicted on receiving stolen property on May 12, 2011, and sentenced to five years in MDOC suspended and placed on probation for five years, has conformed to the conditions of said probation and has conducted himself in a law-abiding manner, has completed the majority of his sentence and all court-ordered fines and fees have been paid. Therefore, his probation is terminated in Judge Sanders’ court.

Calvin James Dee, 43, charged with malicious mischief. Case dismissed after paying $209 and bringing in receipt.

Furtina Woods, 36, charged with shoplifting — first offense. Case dismissed — police department failure to serve process on Kmart.

Marquitta Smith, 30, charged with simple assault. Case dismissed at written request of victim.

Lashunda Nelson, 35, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days with 15 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve 15 days in jail. Fine set at $923.

Fredrick Shorts, 43, pleaded guilty to fleeing or eluding a law enforcement officer in a motor vehicle. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $473.

K’brina Chante Miller, 20, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days with 29 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve 24 hours in jail. Banned from Walmart. Fine set at $573.

Delandro J. Bell, 25, pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace. Sentenced to 30 days with 22 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Credit given for eight days served. Fine set at $173.

Ben Caesor, 19, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days with 29 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve 24 hours in jail. Banned from Walmart. Fine set at $573.

Ted Gullage, 20, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days with 29 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve 24 hours in jail. Banned from Walmart. Fine set at $573.

Jermond M. Banks Sr., 29, pleaded guilty to two counts of misdemeanor false pretense. Total fine set at $809.65.

Jessica Busby pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days with 27 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve three days in jail. Banned from store. Fine set at $573.

Bryant M. Numphrey pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance. Driver’s license suspended for six months. Fine set at $493.

Charlotte Little pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days with 26 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve four days in jail. Fine set at $573.

Cecil Devaull Jr., 29, charged with aggravated assault — domestic violence (felony). Case dismissed as stale case after one year. Any and all injuries, property damage or other shall be adjusted between parties.

Aubrey Lamorris Watson, 31, pleaded guilty to simple assault — domestic violence. Sentenced to 30 days with 29 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Credit given for 24 hours served. Fine set at $623.

Joshua Foster pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct — failure to comply with officer. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $473. Foster also charged with indecent exposure. Case dismissed.

Mario L. Hartwell, 21, pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $373.

Michael Varnado, 34, charged with disturbing the peace — domestic violence. Case remanded to files.

Bobby Earl Ford Jr., 24, found guilty of disorderly conduct — failure to comply with officer. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $323 with $123 suspended. Must pay a fine of $200.

Keyante Carver, 21, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days with 24 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve six days in jail. Banned from store. Fine set at $643.
