OXFORD — A former Natchez resident who was once accused of sending poisonous materials to the president and a U.S. senator will have his story told on the big screen and will perform a live concert next week as part of the documentary being filmed about his experiences.

Velvet Ditch Productions will host an “I Didn’t Do It” fundraiser concert in Oxford Thursday at The Lyric Oxford starring Paul Kevin Curtis in his first performance since last year’s ricin arrest.

The “Kevin Curtis: F.B.I.O.U., A Ricin Roll Concert” will be a free event with a suggested $5 donation.

“I can’t describe how blessed I feel right now after such an extremely difficult year,” Curtis said. “I can’t wait to walk out on that stage again and give you a concert you will never forget.”

Doors open at 7:30 p.m., and the concert begins at 8 p.m. and will last until 10 p.m.

Curtis will perform both original music and tribute artist work ranging from Johnny Cash to Prince to Elvis.

The documentary crew of “I Didn’t Do It,” will film the concert as part of the storyline of the film.
