NATCHEZ — Services for Rosie Lee Myles-McGowan, 79, of Natchez, who died Friday, May 2, 2014, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Pilgrim Baptist Church with the Rev. Melvin White officiating.
Burial will follow in Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Ms. McGowan was born Dec. 17, 1934, in Natchez, the daughter of Leonard and Cordelia Fort Myles.
Ms. McGowan was preceded in death by her parents; longtime companion, David R. Jackson; one son, Leonard K. Myles; one great-granddaughter, Keyonce R. Hutchin; two uncles, Willie James Fort Jr. and Elbert Fort Sr.; and one aunt, Rosie Lee Fort.
Survivors include four sons, Aaron Brown, Harry Myles, David McGowan and wife, Brenda, and Tommy Jackson and wife, Ruby; three daughters, Patricia Thomas and husband, Terry, Cordelia Jones and husband, Joseph, and Judith McGowan; 22 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; one special loving grandson, Terry Myles; four special cousins, Betty J. Matthews and husband, Charles, Evelyn L. Woods and husband, Steven, Carolyn M. Carthen and husband, Cecil, and Barbara A. Minor and husband, Larry; and a number of other relatives and friends.
