FERRIDAY — Services for Ed M. Stone 79, of Ferriday, who died Saturday, May 3, 2014, at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Comer Funeral Home In Ferriday with the Rev. Jerry Fletcher officiating.

Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Natchez under the direction of Comer Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Stone was born February 8, 1935, the son of George and Evelyn Elaine Leak Stone.

Mr. Stone was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with all of them. He will surely be missed by all that knew him. He was a retired operating engineer.

Mr. Stone was preceded in death by wife Bobbie Stone; sister Hazel Wesberry Rourks; and brothers Warren Wesberry, Segrest Wesberry, Hardy “Doc” Stone and Joe Stone.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Nell Graves Ston; daughter, Terri Bordelon and husband, Bobby, of Downsville; son Ed Stone Jr. and wife, Sherry, of Palestine, Texas; grandchildren Shanda Bordelon, Brandon Bordelon, Lacey Stone, Trey Stone; great- grandchildren Kennedy, Samantha, Caleb, Austin, Kennedy, Joseph and Jacob; and two brothers, George Stone Jr. and wife, Goldie, of Monterey and Huey Stone and wife, Lillie, of Columbia.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Bordelon, Trey Stone, Roy Temple, Winfield Ward, Uel Beard and Casey Lipsey.

Honorary pallbearer will be Otis Lynn Morace.
