NATCHEZ — Services for Premo J. Stallone Jr., 86, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Aug. 7, 2010, at his residence, will be at 2 p.m. today at Assumption Catholic Church with the Rev. David O’Connor officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time today at the church.

Mr. Stallone was born Nov. 5, 1923, in Natchez, the son of Premo Joseph Stallone Sr. and Columbia Catherine Verucchi Stallone.

Mr. Stallone was retired as president and owner of Premo Stallone, Inc. He was a past Grand Knight of Natchez Knights of Columbus and past president of Cathedral Athletic Association. Mr. Stallone was a U.S. veteran of the 219th Signal Depot Company during World War II. He received the Distinguished American Award from the Miss-Lou Chapter of the National Football Foundation.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Martha Marie Beauvais.

Survivors include his wife, Marian B. Stallone; three children, Cynthia A. Dollar and husband, Dick, Adrian Stallone and wife, Gail, all of Natchez, and Janet S. Cody and husband, Butch, of San Angelo, Texas; nine grandchildren, Denise Dollar, Natalie Dollar and husband, Dan Becraft, Paige Iseminger and husband, Barry, Adrian Stallone Jr. and wife, Jamie, Amy Peters and husband, Ryan, Premo Jody Stallone III, Justin Stallone Jones, Yancy Cody and Wacey Cody; and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Adrian Stallone Jr., Jody Stallone, Stallone Jones, Yancy Cody, Wacey Cody and Barry Iseminger.

Memorials may be made to Assumption Catholic Church or a charity of choice.
