WOODVILLE — Services for Lauretta Townley Logan, 69, of Woodville, who died Thursday, May 1, 2014, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Woodville with the Rev. Scott Dugas, the Rev. Tom Sexton and the Rev. Pat Smith officiating.
Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Newman Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home in Woodville and from 9 a.m. until service time Monday at the church.
Mrs. Logan was born Sept. 10, 1944, in Woodville, the daughter of Loyal and Mildred Rodgers Townley.
She was employed by the State of Louisiana Department of Corrections.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Mrs. Logan was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, Alonzo and Cuba Rodgers Jones; two brothers, David Loyal Townley Jr. and Rodgers Crain.
Survivors include her husband, Michael J. Logan Sr.; two sons, Michael J. Logan Jr. and companion, Wendy, and Kyle Thomas Logan and wife, Jessica, all of Woodville; two daughters, Lauretta Marie Logan Bullock and husband, Tony, of Woodville, and Mildred Lorraine Logan Channell and husband, Rob, of Wesson; six grandchildren, Brian Channell and wife, Haley, Logan Channell, Destiny, Joseph and Elizabeth Ann Logan and Evan Epperson; and one great grandchild, Casey Thomas Logan.
Pallbearers will be Brian Channell, Logan Channell, Joseph Logan, Blake Cutrer, Zack Meador, Evan Epperson, Joel Cupit and Casey Rodgers.
Honorary pallbearers will be James Vines, Rufuss Scott, Dr. Jennings Owens, Dr. Michael Castile, Dr. Bob Lewis, John Dale, Shep Crawford, David Wilkerson and Charlie Canova.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Joseph’s or to St. Jude’s.
