NATCHEZ — Services for Hawedia “Wedia” Buckles Seeger, 55, of Leland, N.C., formerly of Natchez, who died Monday, April 28, 2014, in Leland, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Roger Waggoner officiating.
Burial will follow in Dantzler Cemetery in Knoxville under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Seeger was born Jan. 28, 1959, in Biloxi, the daughter of Donald Buckles and Norma Dantzler Buckles.
She grew up and went to school in Natchez, graduating from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1977.
In 1981, she married her high school sweetheart, Chris Seeger. Wedia and Chris have two sons, Brad and Christopher.
She worked for International Paper Co. in Natchez until 2003, when she transferred to International Paper in Reiglewood, N.C., moving her family to Leland, N.C.
She was a loving and caring mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.
Mrs. Seeger was preceded in death by her father; and brother-in-law, Rodney Nuss.
Survivors include her husband of 33 years Chris Seeger; her mother; two sons, Brad Seeger and Christopher Seeger; four sisters, Natasha Pope and husband, Jeff, Dena Welch and husband, Bill, Angie Nuss, and Shondra Robert and husband, Gene; and nephews, nieces, extended family members and a number of friends, all who love, adore and will miss her.
Pallbearers will be her nephews, Ryan Pope, Dexter Pope, Brice Willis, Brent Willis, Dustin Nuss, Slate Nuss, Carson Robert and Kyle Robert.
