NATCHEZ — The Joe Fortunato Celebrity Golf Classic will begin at 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturday at Duncan Park with a few guest celebrities in attendance that will be announced at the event.

Registration is ongoing until tee time Saturday for the four-man scramble, and tournament director Brian Fisher encourages everyone to come enjoy a day on the green even if they’re not golfing.

“With the ball drop, you don’t have to be a golfer and you don’t have to be present to win,” Fisher said. “If you’re not there though you bought the $10 ball, you still get the money.”

Non-golfers also have a chance to win a vehicle other than the hole-in-one prize 2014 Chevrolet Silverado that is up for grabs. Fisher said raffle tickets will be sold with a chance to win big.

There will also be door prizes, closest to the hole prizes, longest drives and ball-drop rewards. Participants can win Taylormade irons or woods, a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and a vacation to Lajitas gold resort spa in Lajitas, Texas.
