NATCHEZ — The National Weather Service issued a tornado watch for Adams County and Concordia Parish lasting until 9 p.m. today.
A tornado watch means that conditions are favorable for the development of severe thunderstorms and multiple tornadoes in and close to the watch area, according to the NWS.
The NWS also issued a hazardous weather outlook for both areas stating a slow moving and potent spring weather system could bring a high risk of severe thunderstorms and tornadoes throughout the next several days.
Storms are expected to stall over the area, bringing the possibility of flash floods and river floods through Tuesday.
