WATERPROOF — Services for Oike Lutcher Sr., 75, of Waterproof, who died Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010, at Camelot Leisure Living Nursing Home in Ferriday, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Cypress Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Jarrod Bottley officiating.

Burial will follow at Good Samaritan Cemetery in Waterproof under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Lutcher was born Nov. 4, 1934, in Waterproof, the son of Ceasor and Beatrice Moore Lutcher.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sons, Oike Lutcher Jr. and Marlon Gibson.

Survivors include three sons, Melvin Lutcher, Maurice Devine and Terrell Gibson; five daughters, Korea Durant, Debra Jackson and Glenda Tumblin, all of New Orleans, Katrina Devine of Waterproof and Gwendolyn Lutcher of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Alma Daniels of New Orleans and Clara Walker of Waterproof; his companion, Betty Devine of Waterproof; and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
