NATCHEZ — Services for Roosevelt “Tutti” Washington, 55, of Riverdale, Ga., formerly of Natchez, who died Thursday, April 17, 2014, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Pilgrim Baptist Church with the Rev. Wilsoni Johnson officiating.
Burial will follow in Skinner Cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Washington was born Jan. 12, 1959, in Natchez, the son of Albert and Carrie Perry Washington.
Mr. Washington was a 1978 graduate of North Natchez High School and was an employee of Cobb County Water Department maintenance customer service for 26 years.
Mr. Washington was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his loving wife, Leona Washington; mother; three sons, Marcus Evans and Roosevelt Washington Jr., both of Marietta, Ga., and Lerin Jones of Natchez; two daughters, Chesney Jones of Natchez and Destiny Williams of Riverdale; one granddaughter, Cambriel Gardner of Natchez; seven brothers, Willie Albert Washington and wife, Larverne, of Bay St. Louis, James Gray of Woodville, Cardell Washington, Clyde Washington and wife, Sheridan and Gary Washington and wife, Patrcia, all of Atlanta, Eric Washington and Robert Gray, both of Natchez; five sisters, Shirley Washington and husband, Edward, Mary Taylor, Ferncine Prater and husband, Bernard and Rochelle Jackson and husband, Oliver, all of Natchez and Margaret Tyson and husband, Donald, of Baton Rouge; and a number of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
