NATCHEZ — Services for Paul Smith, 81, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Nov. 14, 2010, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. today at Morgantown Baptist Church with Dr. Edgar Wright and the Rev. Talmadge Smith officiating.

Burial and graveside services will be at 3 p.m. at Damascus Baptist Church Cemetery in Franklin County.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at the church.

Mr. Smith was born July 8, 1929, in Franklin County, the son of Jesse James Smith and Ethel Smith. He was a member of Morgantown Baptist Church and was a veteran of the Korean War.

Mr. Smith was retired from Armstrong Tire and Rubber Company.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Christine Powell and Pearline Barfoot; and one grandson, Johnathan Binns.

Survivors include his wife, Alice “Sue” Smith; one son, Allen Smith and wife, Anna; one daughter, Paula Binns and husband, Chuck, all of Natchez; five grandchildren, Chris Binns, Lacie McElwee, Amy Campbell, Dustin Smith and Zack Smith; one great-grandchild, Gracie McElwee; one brother, Gerald Smith of Brandon; and two sisters, Juanita Cotten of Natchez and Maxine Curtis of Roanoke, Va.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Smith, Zack Smith, Jack Chance, Jimmie Allen, Chris Binns and Chuck Binns.

Honorary pallbearers will be Glynn Allen, James Green, Ivy Ray Thornton, Frank W. Causey Sr., Jack Cupit, Donald Daughn, Bill Brister, Rayford Smith, Bubba Geter, Mike Cotten, Cade Campbell, Robert Brown, Vernon Lee, Richard McKinney, Sherrill Allen, Mark Schrock, Royce Whittington and a number of acquaintances and businesses throughout the City of Natchez.
