SIBLEY — Services for Georgia Lee McMorris, 76, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, April 15, 2014, in Natchez, will be at noon Friday at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Walter Sago officiating.
Burial will follow in Mt. Sinai Baptist Church Cemetery in Sibley under under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 5:45 p.m. today with a “Celebration of Life” Wake Service at 6 p.m today, both at the funeral home, and from 11 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.
Mrs. McMorris was born Jan. 18, 1938, in Goodman, the daughter of Harvey and Annie Catchings.
She was a retired housekeeper.
She was a member of Zion Hill No. 2 Baptist Church and served as an usher and on the mother’s board. She was also affiliated with Mt. Sinai Baptist Church.
Her hobbies included sewing, cooking and working crossword puzzles.
Mrs. McMorris was preceded in death by her parents; one sister; one brother; and other relatives.
Survivors include her husband, Luther McMorris Sr,; five sons, Luther McMorris Jr., and wife, Louise, Gregory McMorris and wife, Karen, Donald McMorris, Eric Scott McMorris and wife, Tewanna and Ronald McMorris and wife, Kim; one daughter, Veronica Skipper and husband, Eugene; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces and other relatives.
