NATCHEZ — Private graveside services for Annie Marion Crawford, 88, of Greenville, formerly of Natchez, who died Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2010, in Greenville, will be Saturday at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Crawford was born July 23, 1922, in Jackson, the daughter of Dr. William Steele Guyton and Annie Lott Guyton. She attended Millsaps College where she studied music and education. She was an accomplished musician and played piano and organ for Grace United Methodist Church for a number of years.
She taught first grade at Morgantown Elementary School and Washington Elementary School. To her family, Mrs. Crawford affectionately known as Mamaw, was above all else a loving mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Walter Lee Crawford.
Survivors include three daughters, Sarah Ann MacManus and husband, Peter, of Raleigh, N.C., Jeanne Ballard and husband, Gary, of Dripping Springs, Texas and Ginger Martyn and husband, Matthew, of Greenville; seven grandchildren, Jonas Monast, Heather Monackey, Kai Monast, Caroline Ballard, Katy Ballard, Adair Nelson and Sarah Jeanne Evans; and two great-grandchildren, Emersyn Monackey and Luciana Monast.
Memorials may be made to Grace United Methodist Church or a hospice organization of choice.
