Godfrey named soil & water deputy commissioner

NATCHEZ — The Adams County Soil and Water Conservation District and its Board of Commissioners recently welcomed Mark Godfrey as a deputy commissioner.
Godfrey is an avid outdoorsman, involved with construction all his adult life and who has always been concerned with soil and water conservation. He is married to Kim Godfrey and they have two children and two grandchildren.
Currently serving on the board of commissioners are Virginia Salmon, chairman; Andy Taunton, vice-chairman; Dr. J.T. Kilroy, secretary-treasurer; Ross McGehee and Bob Barrett. Bryan Stringer and Hattie Harris also serve as deputy commissioners.
All commissioners serve without pay to carry out a cooperative program that addresses the natural resource concerns of the district.
