GONZALES, La. — Services for Huey Holiday, 81, of Sorrento, La., formerly of Wilkinson County, who died Thursday, Nov. 25, 2010, at Baton Rouge General Hospital-Hospice of Baton Rouge Unit, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Pilgrim Calvary with the Rev. Irvin Briley officiating.

Burial will follow at Community Cemetery in Brittany, La., under the direction of Hambrick’s Family Mortuary in Gonzales, La.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. Holiday was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Virginia Holiday; and eight siblings.

Survivors include nine children, Mae Lee Brengettsy-Hickombottom of New Roads, La., Idell McShan and husband, Maurice, of Byram, Janice Holiday of Fayette, Annie Bell Holiday-White and husband, Darrell, of Natchez, Karen Aklharouf and husband, Shadi, of Doha, Qatar, Cecile Payton of Baton Rouge, Felicia Diane Payton of Sorrento, Henry H. Payton and wife, Kristy, of LaPlace, La. and Tracy Marie Payton of Gonzales; 19 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Francis Granger and Clara Noble, both of Wilkinson County; and a number of nieces, cousins and friends.
