NATCHEZ — Services for Marvin Nelson Lewis, 92, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010 at his residence, will be at 11 a.m. today at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Doug Broome, the Rev. Ben Carlisle and the Rev. Dan Wynn officiating.

Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Woodville under the direction Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church.

Mr. Lewis was born Dec. 20, 1917, in Orange County, Texas, the son of John G. and Leona Mosier Lewis. He was self-employed in the retail grocery and drive-in restaurant business before his retirement. Mr. Lewis was a World War II veteran and a longtime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Bobbye Sue Lewis; two sons, Bruce Lewis and wife Karen of Natchez and Pat Lewis and wife Lisa of Corinth; five grandchildren, Grayson, Scott, Christopher and Nicholas Lewis and Elizabeth Mayer; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Leora L. Kittrell of Orange, Texas and a number of nieces and nephews.
