HOLLANDALE — Services for May Ruth Hinson Tolliver, 93, of Hollandale, who died Sunday, Aug. 29, 2010, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 2 p.m. today at Boone Chapel, Hollandale, with Elder Jerry Williams and the Rev. Richard Knight officiating.
Burial will follow at Hollandale Cemetery under the direction of Boone-Wells Funeral Home in Greenville.
Visitation will be from noon until service time today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Tolliver was born Aug. 26, 1917, in Walnut Ridge, Ark., the daughter of David Hinson and Cordelia Gambill Hinson. She was an active member of the Hollandale Baptist Church and Order of Eastern Star. She was employed by Reed Furniture Store for a number of years and had spent the last two years living at the Magnolia House in Natchez.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Floyd W. Tolliver Sr.; one son, Byral Tolliver; one grandson, Chris Tolliver; one brother, Maurice Hinson; and one sister, Pauline Dierkes.
Survivors include one son, Floyd William Tolliver Jr. and wife, Tammy, of Greenville; three daughters, Carole Ray of Arcola, Paula Sims of Greenville and Jeanine Williams and husband, Jerry, of Vidalia; one daughter-in-law, Louise Tolliver of Smyrna, Del.; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Sean Sims, Ross Taylor, Matthew Taylor, Will Tolliver, Jason Tolliver and Jamie Williams
In lieu of flowers, a memorial gift may be given to Hollandale Baptist Church, 106 East Avenue North, Hollandale, MS 38748.
