Adams County Justice Court Cases
March 28 – April 3:
Christine Griffin pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance.
Quentaria Henry pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct.
Kenneth Chatman pleaded guilty to fleeing/eluding a law enforcement officer.
John Albert Minor pleaded guilty to trespassing — less than larceny.
Anthony McCoy pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace.
Steve Madison charged with sale of a controlled substance. Case bound over to a grand jury.
Eric Boxley charged with sale of a controlled substance. Case bound over to a grand jury. Boxley was also charged with possession of a controlled substance. Case bound over to a grand jury.

Thursday, April 3:
Robert King has his post-release supervision revoked in Judge Forrest “Al” Johnson’s court for clearly being in violation of the terms of his supervision as he freely admitted to the use of illegal drugs (crack cocaine). Must serve the remaining balance of his sentence in the Mississippi Department of Corrections. Must also receive intensive therapeutic drug and alcohol treatment with MDOC.
Charles Woods Jr. has his post-release supervision revoked in Judge Johnson’s court for clearly being in violation of the terms of his supervision as he freely admitted to the use of alcohol and illegal drugs (marijuana); for failing to report; and for failing to pay supervision fees. Must serve the remaining balance of his sentence in MDOC. Must also receive drug and alcohol treatment with MDOC. Defendant receives full credit for time served as allowed by law.
Thursday, March 13:
Latasha Washington, who was convicted of grand larceny and sentenced to five years in MDOC suspended and placed on probation for five years on Jan. 11, 2011, has conformed to the conditions of said probation and has conducted herself in a law-abiding manner. Therefore, her probation is terminated in Judge Lillie Blackmon Sanders’ court.

Friday, March 21:
Kevin Mires, 36, pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $323.
Jerome Brown, 40, charged with disorderly conduct — failure to comply with officer. Case remanded to file on consideration of guilty plea of resisting arrest. He also pleaded guilty to resisting arrest. Sentenced to 30 days with 25 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Credit given for five days served. Fine set at $523 minus $75 credit. Must pay a fine of $448.
Seventeen-year-old charged with aggravated assault — external indifferences. Upon further investigation, this affidavit and warrant are hereby withdrawn without prejudice. Released on recognizance with no contact conditions and house arrest.
Lynda F. Hall, 52, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor false pretense. Total fine set at $432.45.
Edwin Holmes, 60, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days with 17 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve 13 days in jail. Banned from Belk. Fine set at $923.
Gregory Lynn Anderson, 46, pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace — domestic violence. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $473. He also pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct — failure to comply with officer. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $473.

Nicolette McMorris, 27, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days with 26 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve four days in jail. Banned from store. Fine set at $573.
Dejuan Davis pleaded guilty to simple assault — domestic violence (first offense). Sentenced to 30 days with 27 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Credit given for three days served. Fine set at $623.

Kennon Kentrel Calvin, 26, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor false information. Sentenced to 30 days with 24 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve six days in jail. Fine set at $423.

Douglas Santrecha Mazique, 40, found not guilty of assault but guilty of lesser charge of disturbing the peace. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $233.
Adai M. Pate III, 65, charged with reckless driving. Case remanded to files in consideration of plea to driving under the influence. Pate also pleaded no contest to DUI first offense no test. Sentenced to 48 hours suspended. Fine set at $750.
Jerard Campbell, 40, pleaded guilty to three counts of misdemeanor false pretense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior on each count to run concurrently. Total fine set at $1,254.65.
Ebony Nicole Chatman, 29, pleaded guilty to three counts of misdemeanor false pretense. Sentenced to 60 days suspended for one year pending good behavior on each count to run concurrently. Total fine set at $1,486.44.
Brandon Doman, 26, pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia. Driver’s license suspended for six months. Fine set at $493.
Michael Preston Sullivan, 27, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor false pretense. Sentenced to 60 days suspended for two years pending good behavior. Total fine set at $987.42.
Beverly Griffin pleaded guilty to public drunkenness. Fine set at $248.
