NATCHEZ — Services for Allen J. Jones, 55, of Natchez, who died Saturday, March 15, 2014, at his residence, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Zion Chapel No. 2 in Kingston with the Rev. Walter Smith officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Jones was born May 19, 1958, in Natchez, the son of Allen James Reynolds and Augustine Reynolds.

He was a graduate of South Natchez High School.

He was employed by Charity Hospital, Natchez Eola Hotel, Monmouth Plantation and a maintenance supervisor for Adams County.

He loved his two special pets Coco and Pooch.

Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his wife, Doris Jones; his mother; one son, Jamie Jones, of Columbus, Ga.; two daughters, Allison Davis and husband, Jimmie, of Millbrook, Ala. and Althea White, of Natchez; four brothers, Charles Jones, Willie Jones and wife, Mary, Emmanuel Jones and wife, Chinta, of Natchez and Randy Reynolds and wife, Alberta, of Byram; seven sisters, Elvira Morgan and husband, Samuel, Annie Rose Trask and husband, Leroy, Ira Mitchell and husband, Aubrey, Rosie Phipps and husband, Robert, Wanza Turner and husband, Walter, Cora Lewis and Bridget Smith, of Natchez; one god sister, Nikki Stampley, of Natchez; four grandchildren, Semaj and Jared Davis, of Millbrook and Kayla and Charles Gaylor Jr., of Natchez; and a number of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and family and friends.
