NATCHEZ — Services for Willie Mae Dunn, 89, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 3 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Doug Broome officiating.

Burial will follow in Roxie Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. until service time Friday at the church.

Mrs. Dunn was born March 10, 1925, in Holden, La. the daughter of Willie Bryan Seab and Clara Rowland Seab.

In 1944 she received a B.A. degree from Southeastern Louisiana College and a M.A. degree in library science from LSU in 1947.

She worked in various parish libraries in Louisiana until she moved to Natchez in 1960.

After working in public and private school libraries in Adams County, she was appointed librarian of the Natchez Campus of Copiah Lincoln Community College, where she worked until her retirement in 1990.

In 1999, the board of trustees of Co-Lin named the library at the new campus, the Willie Mae Dunn Library in her honor.

She is a member of the First Baptist Church, Order of the First Families of Mississippi, Natchez Historical Society, Historic Natchez Foundation, ILR and Friends of the George Armstrong Library.

Survivors include one son, Harvey Earl Dunn and wife, Lynn, of Mathiston; one daughter, Leeice Jane Dunn, of Natchez; one grandson, Lemuel A. “Andy” Dunn, of Mathiston; two nephews, Steve Crews and Bryan Crews, both of Centerville, Ala.; and one niece, Susan Price, of Troy, Ala.
