NATCHEZ — Services for Jo Ann Jackson Gwin, 72, of Mobile, Ala., formerly of Natchez, who died Monday, March 24, 2014, in Mobile, will be at noon Friday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Paul Southerland officiating.
Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Gwin was born Oct. 23, 1941, in Attala County, the daughter of Joseph Harvey Jackson and Maudie Louise Seawright Gwin.
She retired from Natchez Regional Medical Center where she was an x-ray technician and registered nurse.
Mrs. Gwin was preceded in death by her husband, C.B. Gwin; her parents; one son, Robert Olin Edens; and one grandson, Coulter Edens.
Survivors include one son, Charlie Gwin, of Ft. White, Fla.; two daughters, Charlotte Gwin Byrne and husband, Johnny, of Natchez and Leigh Anne Edens, of Mobile, Ala.; 11 grandchildren, Stephanie Kinsman and husband, Brad, of Van Alstyne, Texas, Keith Gwin and wife, Ashley, of Lake City, Fla., Jack Byrne, of Natchez, Mary Kate Partridge and husband, Neal, of Ft. Smith, Ark., Lindsay Lawson, of Berlin, Germany, Kyndel Edens, Evelyn Edens and Chase Edens, all of Mobile, Kris Benson and husband, Marty, of Sody Daisy, Tenn., Jessica Leigh Norman and husband, Brandon, of Berryville, Ark. and Jennifer Forsythe and husband, Jonathan, of Mobile; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, Janie Knight, of Southaven, Lorena Ballard, of Kosciusko and Elsie Norgard, of Loxley, Ala.; one daughter-in-law, Creath Edens Townsend, of Mobile; and a number of nephews and nieces.
Pallbearers will be Bob Ballard, Eric Adcock, Jonathan Forsythe, Jack Byrne, Ethan Rymer and Roger Davis.
