BUDE — Services for Dorothy Jean Holmes-Williams, 62, of Baton Rouge, formerly of Centreville, who died Friday, Oct. 1, 2010, at Earl K. Long Hospital in Baton Rouge, will be at 11 a.m. today at Donaldson Chapel Baptist Church.
Burial will follow at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Centreville under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time today at the church.
Mrs. Holmes-Williams was born June 12, 1948, in Centreville, the daughter of Johnnie M. Thompson and Irene Holmes. She was a member of the choir.
She was preceded in death by her mother; stepfather, Henry Harris Sr.; one brother, Johnnie Thompson Jr.; and paternal and maternal grandparents.
Survivors include three daughters, Celita Williams, Regina Williams and Keisha Williams; longtime companion, Theodore Speaks; three sisters, Helen Harris Bibbins, Jannie Lee Harris Wallace and Bobbie Jean Harris; six brothers, James Ray Sr., Henry Harris Jr., Johnnie Harris, John Harris, Charles Thompson and Ronnie Thompson; 11 grandchildren; nine aunts; two uncles; and a number of other relatives and friends.
