Vidalia — The Vidalia Police Department will conduct routine checkpoint stops throughout the City of Vidalia Thursday and Friday.

Police Chief Arthur Lewis said officers will be checking to ensure residents have their driver’s license and vehicle insurance in their vehicles, as well as having their seat belts on from 5 to 11 p.m. both days.

Officers will be stationed on Louisiana 131 from John Dale Drive to Louisiana 3180.
