Louise Myers Green

DODSON, La. — Funeral services for Louise M. Green, 87, who died, Thursday, March 20, 2014, will be 10 a.m. Monday, March 24, 2014, at Cypress Creek Baptist Church in Dodson with the Rev. Nick Varrett officiating.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and 8 a.m. until time of services Mondayat Cypress Creek Baptist Church.

Burial will follow at Cypress Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Dodson under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home of Alexandria.

Mrs. Green was born March 18, 1927, in Magee. She attended Magee High School and graduated in 1942. She also attended the Nursing Corp. at University Hospital in Jackson and received her nursing license in 1947. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman H. Green.

Survivors include five children, Virginia Gayle Cuddy and husband, Bill, of Centre, Ala, John Harrison Green and wife, Phyllis, of Waco, Texas, Debra French and husband, John, of Humble, Texas, Darrell Eugene Green and wife, Patty, of Jonesville, and Robert Marion Green of Galveston, Texas; two sisters, Clara Capps and Sue Marcoulier of Bellville, Texas; two brothers, Harold Kenneth Myers of Lake Charles and Doug Myers of Fort Bragg, Calif.; nine grandchildren, Jamie Walters of Conway, Ark, Chris Counts of Birmingham, Ala., Rebecca Reed of Centre, Ala., Clay Green of Chicago, Nicki Green of Mountain Home, Ark., Eric French of Washington, D.C., Scott Green of Montgomery, Texas, Serena Green of Romulus, Mich., and Robert Green of Romulus, and eleven great-grandchildren.
