VIDALIA — Services for Christine White Carter, 83, of Baton Rouge, formerly of Vidalia, who died Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010, at her residence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Zion Baptist Church.

Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Carter was born Dec. 24, 1926, in Vidalia, the daughter of Alf and Alice Wilson White. She was a lifelong member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Vera Lee White; two sisters, Leanna Harris and Thelma Edwards; and one brother, Alfred White.

Survivors include four loving and devoted children, Willie E. White and wife, Claudia, and Tywana Randall of husband, Curtis, all of Vidalia, Joyce White and Alice Carter, both of Baton Rouge; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends.
