NATCHEZ — Services for Rhonda Hunt Johnson, 50, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Oct. 24, 2010, at her residence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Sinai Baptist Church with the Rev. James Brooks officiating.
Burial will follow at Hunt Cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Johnson was born Aug. 20, 1960, in Natchez, the daughter of Vernon Hunt and Betty Ford Hunt. She was a member of Mount Sinai Baptist Church.
Mrs. Johnson was a graduate of Alcorn State University and where she also received her master’s degree. She was a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Inc.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one uncle; and one aunt.
Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Joseph Johnson; one son, Brian “Patrick” Johnson; one daughter, Lea D’atra “MoNique” Johnson, all of Natchez; two sisters, Tammy Hunt and fiancé, Anthony, of Aurora, Ill., and Felicia Hunt Broadway and husband, Anthony, of Little Elm, Texas; two aunts, Mary Joyce Woods of Ashville, N.C., and Lillie Hunt of Natchez; three grandchildren, Brenna Johnson, Kara Jones and Maria Johnson; father-in-law, Isaac Johnson and wife, Dorothy, of Natchez; special cousin, Dorothy Jackson of Natchez; one godchild, Kristy Rose of Laurel; five sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; and a number of other relatives and friends.
