Mr. and Mrs. James B. Young of Natchez announce the engagement of their daughter, Taylor Emily Young, to Dr. Thomas Allen Brown Jr., son of Dr. Thomas A. and Dr. Mary B. Brown of Gainesville, Fla.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Trinity Episcopal Day School in Natchez and is a graduate of Southern Methodist University in Dallas.

She is employed by Body Balance Institute in Jacksonville, Fla.

She is the granddaughter of Mr. Jimmy R. Young and the late Mrs. Tilda E. Young of Natchez and the late Mrs. Shirley Roberts of Natchez.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Eastside High School in Gainesville, Fla. and is a graduate of the University of Florida. He attended dental school at the University of Florida and specialized in endodontics at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, N.C.

He is the owner of Orange Park Endodontics in Jacksonville, Fla.

He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Byrd of Columbia, S.C., and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Brown of Ormond Beach, Fla.

The wedding will be Saturday, April 12, 2014, at Longwood in Natchez.
