VIDALIA — Services for Julius “Sonny” Taylor, 83, of Vidalia, who died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Zion Baptist Church with the Bro. Wendell Greene Sr. officiating.

Burial will follow at Pine Hill Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Mr. Taylor was born March 6, 1927, in Vidalia, the son of Preston Taylor and Beatrice Blames.

Survivors include four sons, Julius C. Taylor III and Jurine Matthews and wife, Mary, all of Vidalia, Julius A. Taylor Jr. and Michael W. Taylor and wife, Latricia, all of Natchez; one daughter, Melissa Spencer and husband, Trazell, of Vidalia; two brothers, Edward Blames and wife, Joyce, of West Covina, Calif., and Bennie Scott and wife, Burnell, of Pompano Beach, Calif.; one sister, Louise Taylor of Baton Rouge; 12 grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
