BROOKHAVEN — Services for Sherrod “S.D.” Williamson, 84, of Brookhaven, who died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010, at Brook Manor, will be at 10 a.m. today at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel.

Burial will follow at Union Church Cemetery under the direction of Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven.

Mr. Williamson was born Oct. 12, 1926, in Union Church, the son of Dan and Alma Darsey Williamson. He was a member of Bethesda Church and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Wilbert Williamson, Mary R.W. Posey and Alberta Dunnaway.

Survivors include his wife, Jewell Pritchard Williamson; one son, Sherrod Daniel Williams Jr.; two daughters, Cheryl Boggan and Marcie Brown; three brothers; two sisters; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
