NATCHEZ — A Natchez man was arrested on charges he robbed an acquaintance giving him a ride last week.
Hashin O. Bostic, 20, 73 Pinemount Road, was arrested on a charge of armed robbery Friday.
Bostic allegedly asked an acquaintance for a ride as the acquaintance was leaving his residence on Oriole Terrace at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Natchez Police Department Detective Jerry Ford said.
While riding in the car, Bostic allegedly saw a bank bag in the vehicle and pulled a gun on the driver, saying he was going to take the bag, Ford said.
After taking the bag, Bostic reportedly jumped out of the car and fled on foot, Ford said.
The police were later able to recover items from the bag from Bostic, Ford said.
The suspect was detained without bond Saturday.
