More baseball games canceled in Miss-Lou

NATCHEZ — For the second day in a row, inclement weather played a role in area baseball and softball teams having their games canceled. On Tuesday, it was because of a combination of freezing rain and a cold rain.
Natchez High School’s home baseball games against Jefferson County were canceled. No make-up date has been announced. The Bulldogs next play at South Pike on Friday with the junior varsity game at 4 p.m. and the varsity game at 6 p.m.
Cathedral School’s junior varsity and varsity softball games at home against Enterprise Lincoln were also canceled. Lady Green Wave head coach Gary Blackwell said the games will not be rescheduled. Cathedral hosts Loyd Star Friday with the JV game at 5 p.m., followed by the varsity game at 6 p.m.
Franklin County High School’s JV and varsity softball teams’ home opener against Brookhaven High School was postponed. Lady Bulldogs head coach Dana Smith said the games will be rescheduled for Monday, March 31 at 5:30 and 7 p.m., respectively. Franklin County next plays at Enterprise Lincoln on Thursday with the JV game at 5 p.m. and the varsity game at 6 p.m.
