NATCHEZ — Services for Joseph Christmas, 93, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014, at Promise Specialty Hospital in Vidalia, will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday at West Gate Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mr. Christmas was born Oct. 11, 1920, in Adams County, the son of James and Lizzie Davis Christmas.

He was retired from the United States Steel Company.

Mr. Christmas was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Bessie Mosby Christmas; three brothers, Sam Christmas, James Christmas Jr. and Fred Christmas; six sisters, Selena Rounds, Virginia Mazique, Alberta Washington, Mary Davis, Elizabeth Bailey and Shirley Brimage.

Survivors include five sisters, Augustine Mingo and Josephine Juitt, of Natchez, Naomi Christmas, Delhia Christmas and Ernestine Brown, of Chicago; a special family member, Eddie; special friend, Josephine Willis; and a number of nephews, nieces and family and friends.
