NATCHEZ — Services for Elizabeth “Betty” Hancock, 74, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, at Lovely Lane Methodist Church with the Rev. Len McRaney officiating.

Burial will follow in Adams Methodist Cemetery in Summitt, Miss. under the direction of Laird Funeral Home

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Lovely Lane Methodist Church.

Mrs. Hancock was born Nov. 24, 1939, in McComb, the daughter of Alton L. Martin and Mable C. Terry.

She was a member of Lovely Lane Methodist Church where she played the piano.

Mrs. Hancock retired from International Paper Company.

She spent her entire life caring for others’ needs over her own. All who knew her loved her cooking.

Betty was very devoted to her family and her Lovely Lane Church Family.

Mrs. Hancock was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Johnny Martin.

Survivors include her husband, Fulton Hancock; one daughter, Connie D. Scott and husband, William, of Dardanelle, Ark.; two grandchildren, Beth Whitlow and husband, Josh, of Russellville, Ark., and Lucas Scott and wife, Shanteal, of Hector, Ark.; one great-grandchild, Wyatt; one step-son, Steve Hancock, of Natchez; one step daughter, Robbie Headrick and husband, Kent, of Flora; two step-grandchildren, Stephen and Cody Hancock; one brother, Rodney Martin and wife, Linda, of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; one sister, Shirley Mc Caa and husband, Hugh, of Fayette, Ala.; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Rod Martin, Richard Martin, R. T. Junkin, Matt Mc Caa, Todd Hancock and Michael Anderson.
