NATCHEZ — Funeral services for Josephine Baldwin Young, 67, of Natchez, who died Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, at her residence, will be 1 p.m. today at Laird Funeral Home with the Rev. John Kramer officiating.
Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Natchez under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be at noon today until time of services at the funeral home.
Josephine was born June 24, 1946, in Clinton, the daughter of Joseph Douglas Baldwin and Anne Elizabeth “Betty” Graeber Baldwin. She grew up in Natchez.
Josephine was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. She was a retired cosmetologist and an active member of Jefferson Street United Methodist Church. Josephine enjoyed creating expert needlework pieces, traveling and attending all of her grandchildren’s numerous activities.
Mrs. Young was preceded in death by her parents; her step-father, Thornton S. Smith, and a sister, Patricia B. Thames.
Survivors include two daughters, Lisa Dale Mayers and husband, G.A., of Natchez, and DeAnn Dillingham Sullivan and husband, Alan, of Destrehan; five grandchildren, Tyler Jordan, Laura Sullivan, Paul Sullivan, Alex Dale and Allie Mayers; one brother, Joseph “Buddy” Douglas Baldwin Jr. and wife, Lucy; one niece, Nicole Allen; one nephew, Joseph Douglas Baldwin III, and a number of great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Byron Carnette, Tim Cotten, Jerry Walker, Doug Baldwin, Henry Watts and Ricky Warren.
Honorary pallbearer will be Drew Eidt.
