NATC HEZ — Memorial services for Danny Ray Smith, 58, of Natchez, who died Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, will be at 2 p.m. today at Crosspoint Church.

Services will be under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Mr. Smith was born July 17, 1955, in Gloster, the son of Charles and Margaret Robertson Smith.

He was a great son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend to all who knew him. He always had a smile along with a great sense of humor.

He enjoyed fishing and was a passionate Ole Miss football fan.

Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his father; and one sister, Bobbie Lynn Brown.

Survivors include his loving wife, Linda Smith; his mother;one son, Richard Daniel Smith and wife, Kara; one daughter, Sherry Lynn Booty and husband, Shawn, three brothers, Ricky Smith and wife, Serinda, Robert Smith and Tommy Smith; nine grandchildren; one great-grandson; and a number of nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
