Bobby R. Brown pleaded guilty to simple assault.

Adams County Circuit Court Cases

Friday, Jan. 10:

Edward Hudnall, who was convicted of uttering a forgery and sentenced to seven years in Mississippi Department of Corrections suspended and placed on post release supervision for five years on Nov. 3, 2008, has his post release supervision terminated in Judge Forrest “Al” Johnson’s court after conforming to the conditions of his post release supervision, conducting himself in a law abiding manner, and paying all court costs and fees.

Rachel Gibson, who was convicted of felony shoplifting and sentenced to six years in MDOC suspended and placed on five years post release supervision on March 19, 2008, has her post release supervision terminated in Johnson’s court after conforming to the conditions of her post release supervision, conducting herself in a law abiding manner, and paying all court costs and fees.

Tyrell Kelly has his post-release supervision revoked in Johnson’s court after clearly being in violation of the terms of his supervision as he tested positive for illegal drugs (marijuana) on June 6, 2013. Must serve the remaining balance of his sentence in MDOC.

Tuesday, Feb. 11:

Johnny Johansson has his post-release supervision revoked in Judge Johnson’s court for clearly being in violation of the specific condition of his sentencing order and supervision, that he timely register as a sex offender and comply with all applicable laws. Must serve the full remaining balance of his sentence, being 10 years, in the MDOC. Full credit given for time served in the Adams County Jail following his arrest on the new charge and awaiting his revocation.

Friday, Feb. 7:

Kevin Sinclair Culbert, who was sentenced for possession of stolen property and placed on one year probation on May 20, 2013, has his probation terminated in Judge Lillie Blackmon Sanders’ court for successfully completing his probation and the charge is dismissed.

Thursday, Jan. 23:

Charles Michael Nettles Jr., who was indicted for felony malicious mischief on Sept. 16, 2013 and pleaded guilty to burglary of a dwelling on Nov. 25 and was sentenced to 20 years in the MDOC, has his case entered nolle prosequi and dismissed in Judge Johnson’s court because the defendant is also wanted in the State of Oklahoma for probation violation.

Joseph C. Tucker pleaded guilty to the lesser misdemeanor offense of malicious mischief in Judge Sanders’ court. Sentenced to serve a period of one year in the county jail, said sentenced to be suspended; placed on one year unsupervised probation; immediately pay all court costs; pay a fine of $500 within 90 days; pay restitution to the victim in the amount of $333.34 within 90 days; permanently refrain from any contact with the victim.

Thursday, Jan. 16:

Kenita Harris entered nolle prosequi in Judge Sanders’ court because the defendant has entered a guilty plea to felony shoplifting and was sentenced to five years in the MDOC to run consecutively with the penitentiary time the defendant is currently serving of the Circuit Court of Pike County, Mississippi. Harris (shoplifting) also entered nolle prosequi in Judge Sanders’ court because the defendant has entered a guilty plead to felony shoplifting and was sentenced to five years in the MDOC to run consecutively with the penitentiary time the defendant is currently serving in the Circuit Court of Pike County.

Tuesday, Jan. 14:

Terrell Aaron Johnson pleaded guilty to the lesser misdemeanor offense of malicious mischief in Judge Sanders’ court. Sentenced to serve a period of one year in the county jail, said sentence to be suspended; placed on one year unsupervised probation; immediately pay all court costs; pay fine of $500 within 90 days; pay restitution to the victim in the amount of $333.33 within 90 days; permanently refrain from any contact with the victim.

Wanda Beamer (shooting into a dwelling house) entered nolle prosequi in Judge Sanders’ court because the defendant has entered a guilty plea to the charge of possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, said charge stemming from the same incident. Beamer also pleaded guilty to possession of a weapon by a convicted felon in Judge Sanders’ court. Sentenced to five years in the MDOC. After serving one day, the defendant is placed on four years, 364 days formal post release supervision, which shall be supervised under the supervision of the MDOC. Full credit given for any time already served in the Adams County Jail. Must pay all court costs and a prosecution fee of $200 within 30 days from this day in the Office of the Adams County Circuit Clerk.

Monday, Jan. 13:

Marquette Deon Thomas pleaded guilty to burglary of a commercial building in Judge Sanders’ court. Sentenced to three years in the MDOC suspended and placed on three years formal probation under the supervision of the MDOC and the Sixth Judicial Circuit Adult Drug Court. Full credit given for any time already served in the Adams County Jail. Must pay all court costs and a prosecution fee of $200 within 30 days in the office of the Adams County Circuit Clerk. It is further ordered that the MDOC fees shall be waived and the defendant is ordered to pay all fees as set out.

Kendrell D. Johnson pleaded guilty to the lesser misdemeanor charge of malicious mischief in Judge Sanders’ court. Sentenced to serve a period of one year in the county jail, said sentence to be suspended; placed on one year unsupervised probation; immediately pay all court costs; pay a fine of $500 within 90 days; pay restitution to the victim in the amount of $333.33 within 90 days; permanently refrain from any contact with the victim.

Friday, Jan. 10:

Fredrick Washington, who was indicted on Sept. 16, 2013, for burglary of a dwelling, has his case entered nolle prosequi in Judge Sanders’ court for the reason that insufficient evidence exists with which to sustain a conviction.

Justin Fuller pleaded guilty to burglary of a storehouse in Judge Johnson’s court. The court withheld acceptance of the guilty plea pending the successful completion of the following conditions: his future good behavior and that he violate no laws, for a period of time up to three years, or further order of the court; payment of all court costs and fees to include a $200 prosecution fee; his successful completion of the Adams County Adult Drug Court Program.

Tuesday, Jan. 7:

Craig Royce Clements pleaded guilty to aggravated assault in Judge Sanders’ court. Sentenced to 10 years in the MDOC. Five years of the sentence is suspended and the remaining balance shall be served on five years formal probation under the supervision of the MDOC. Must pay all court costs, a prosecution fee of $200 and restitution in an amount to be determined in the office of the Adams County Circuit Clerk. Credit given for any time already served in the Adams County Jail.

Monday, Dec. 23, 2013:

Lisa Havard, who was indicted on five counts of false pretense (felony bad checks) on Nov. 22, 2013, has her case entered nolle prosequi in Judge Johnson’s court.

Wednesday, Jan. 29:

Ashley Adams, 21, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days with 29 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve 24 hours in jail. Fine set at $573.

Keaundra Eureka Lee, 22, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days with 29 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve 24 hours in jail. Fine set at $573.

Carlos Antwine Bailey, 43, pleaded guilty to simple assault — domestic violence. Sentenced to 30 days with 27 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Credit given for two days served. To serve 24 hours in jail. Fine set at $623.

Friday, Jan. 31:

Kendrick Lashawn Dorsey, 32, found guilty of disturbing the peace. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $423 minus $50 suspended. Must pay a fine of $373.

Jessica Cauley, 33, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days with 18 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve 12 days in jail. Fine set at $573.

Monday, Feb. 3:

Crista Jones, 27, charged with simple assault — domestic violence. Case dismissed — officer did not show on served subpoena; victim was not served subpoena.

Tuesday, Feb. 4:

Antone Johnson, 24, charged with armed robbery. Waived preliminary hearing. Case bound over to a grand jury. Bond reduced from $70,000 to $30,000.

Tre Coles, 19, charged armed robbery. Waived preliminary hearing. Case bound over to a grand jury. Bond reduced from $70,000 to $30,000.

Samuel Sullivan, 28, charged with armed robbery. Waived preliminary hearing. Case bound over to a grand jury. Bond reduced from $105,000 to $50,000.

Eugene White, 59, charged with two counts of felony false pretense reduced to misdemeanor. Total fine set at $1,226.

Wednesday, Feb. 5:

Leon Chadwick Ridley, 29, charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana. Case dismissed — no evidence available for trail because marijuana found was not turned into the Police Department.

Malinda F. Chambliss, 32, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days with 27 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve three days in jail. Banned from Belk. Fine set at $573.

Leon Ridley, 29, charged with DUI — other substance. Case dismissed — the witness, store clerk, failed to appear on subpoena.

John F. Shoalmire, 32, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $523.

Edward Lee Davis pleaded guilty to simple assault — domestic violence second offense. Sentenced to 60 days with 53 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve seven days in jail. Fine set at $723.

Friday, Feb. 7:

Kerry Lamonic Weir, 39, charged with disorderly conduct — failure to comply with officer. Case remanded to files subject to other plea.

Monday, Feb. 10:

Ike Sanders, 69, charged with simple assault — domestic violence. Case remanded to files for one year and dismissed.

Richard Davis pleaded guilty to trespassing. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $323.

Curtis Sanders, 39, pleaded guilty to petit larceny. Sentenced to 30 days with 27 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve three days in jail. Fine set at $550.

Benjamin Z. Forman III, 31, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from Walmart. Fine set at $573.

Wednesday, Feb. 12:

Travis Blanton, 27, charged with disturbing the peace. At recommendation of officer and victim, case is remanded to files for one year, then dismissed and to pay cost only $100.

Da’larren White, 20, pleaded guilty to simple assault — domestic violence. Sentenced to 30 days with 19 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Credit given for 11 days served. Fine set at $623 minus $150 suspended. Must pay a fine of $473.
