NATCHEZ — Services for Virginia Lee Graves Robb, 78, of Natchez, who died Monday, Feb. 10, 2014, at Glenburney Nursing Facility, will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Christian Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. John Scott Jr. officiating.
Burial will follow under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home chapel.
Mrs. Robb was born April 8, 1935, in Natchez, the daughter of the Rev. L.L. Graves and Virginia Johnson Graves.
She was Baptist and a member of Christian Hope Baptist Church.
She attended Alcorn State University and received a masters degree in education from Jackson State University.
Mrs. Robb was an educator and evangelist, having instructed her neighborhood youth in Bible study. She retired from Enterprise High School in Catahoula Parish, having served over 37 years.
Mrs. Robb is preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Debra Robb; one brother, Jerry Graves; and two sisters, Vivian Graves and Julia E. Graves.
Survivors include her husband, Matthew Robb Jr.; one son, Matthew Robb III, of Natchez; two daughters, Mavis Dobbins and husband, Roger, of Natchez; and Linda Irving and husband, Elijah, of Baton Rouge; one special granddaughter, LaTasha Washington and husband, Kelvin; seven grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren; one brother, Leroy Graves and wife, Mary, of Kentucky; two sisters, Juanita Odom and Cynthia Graves; one special nephew, Leron Graves and wife, Charlotte, of Jackson; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
