WATERPROOF — Services for Martha Montgomery Bryant, 55, of Baton Rouge, formerly of Waterproof, who died Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014, at Our Lady of the Lake Medical Center, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Oakwood Baptist Church in Waterproof.

Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery under the direction Concordia Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Bryant was born April 18, 1958, in Waterproof, the daughter of Emile and Sadie Ford Montgomery.

Mrs. Bryant is preceded in death by her husband, Louis Bryant; her parents; two brothers, James Montgomery and George Montgomery; four sisters, Theresa Thompson, Elizabeth Montgomery, Sarah M. Hartley and Viola “ Suga Doo” Carney; one nephew, Marquise Carney-Toney; and one brother-in-law, Isaac Thompson.

Survivors include her daughter, Angela Byrant and husband, Eugene, of Baton Rouge; two grandchildren, Te’Laysia Wallace and Ja’Laayia Wallace, of Baton Rouge; one brother, Emile Montgomery, of New Orleans; two sisters, Sadie M. Hartley and Mary Dean Montgomery, both of Baton Rouge; and a number of nephews, nieces, and cousins.
