NATCHEZ (AP) — The state Court of Appeals on Tuesday upheld a state board’s suspension of a Natchez dentist’s license.
Dr. Edwin Holt had appealed an adverse ruling by an Adams County judge in 2012.
Court records show the suspension came after the Mississippi State Board of Dental Examiners investigated Holt’s practice in 2010 and found numerous violations.
The dental board delayed the suspension because Holt had agreed to complete an ethics course, suspend his practice for two three-week periods and drop a pending lawsuit against the board.
The board found Holt violated the agreement by practicing during his suspension period. The Adams judge sided with the dental board on all issues.
The Appeals Court denied Holt’s argument that he was denied due process.
